Cheaha Trail Riders - Anniston Army Depot Coosa River Annex

Anniston Army Depot - Coosa River Annex
Now (unformally) known as TMARC for Talladega Motorized and Recreational Complex.

A few of the FBR club members frequent TMARC. It has great natural terrain and we would like to keep it out of the hands of industrial developers. It appears that the land use is headed in the right direction. Let's make sure it continues on that path. Please join us in this fight.

Subject: Letter to Editor of Talladega Daily Home

To all of you who are interested in the progress of the property in Talladega, Alabama called the Coosa River Storage Annex that we, Cheaha Trail Riders, Inc., have been working hard to see transferred to the City of Lincoln, Alabama:

The National Park Service has sent a letter to the Talladega County Commissioners stating that the NPS has chosen the City of Lincoln's application over the City of Talladega and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame because of the tremendous support that Lincoln has both locally, state and nationally. This is a great victory for our long fought efforts, but we need your help to calm down those who did not get chosen. Some of the politicians that were against building an Off Highway Vehicle park on this property are stirring up trouble because they were not selected. We need you help in two ways. Tell everyone you can to help with this. Forward this email if you wish.

1. We need for you to email the Managing Editor of the Talladega Daily Home (Graham Hadley)  and tell him that you support the decision to transfer the land to Lincoln and the OHV and multi-use recreational park that will be built. I have included some sample verbiage below if you wish to use it. We need to blitz the Daily Home with emails and phone calls supporting this transfer to Lincoln. It will become one of the largest OHV and multi-use recreation parks in the south.

2. Send an email to the Governor of Alabama, Honorable Bob Riley, thanking him for his support of the property being transferred to the City of Lincoln.

Thank you and please use urgency in your emails if you do not mind. We will keep you up to date on the progress of this land transfer and park development.

Dear Mr. Hadley,

I am very pleased with the National Park Service's decision to transfer the Coosa River Annex property to the City of Lincoln. My friends and I ride Off Highway Vehicles (OHV), and we are excited about the opportunity that Lincoln will provide through the development of this property for OHV and other recreational venues. When development is complete, you can count on us to frequent the park and enjoy the area. This development will generate revenue, which I am sure any area would love to see.

Sincerely,

We are pleased with your support of the transfer of the Coosa River Storage Annex Property located in Talladega County, to the City of Lincoln. We plan to visit this property when it is developed to enjoy the Off Highway Vehicle trail systems that will be built and the other recreational venues that Lincoln plans to construct.
