"The" Garry and I are copiloting a ride from Leeds to Childersburg to Highland Park through Talladega National Forest. Leave Friday morning spend the night at HP. Ride the park Saturday then ride home on Sunday.
They have primitive cabins and primitive camping available. Linens are extra and they have a bath house.
We are working on the route now and will have a starting point somewhere around Logan Martin Dam if you choose to trailer there and save your tires.
The route will not be overly difficult but we must maintain a fast pace to make it before they close Friday afternoon (eastern time zone).
I expect around 5 or 6 riders from www.bamarides.com. All are competant riders but a few of them haven't done a trip like this before. That's where idea came from.

I will be reserving cabins so I will need a pretty solid head count. Also the require a two night stay. Camping doesn't require a reservation.
Of course you can just meet us at HP if you don't ride a DS. Don't forget they rent bikes too.
