About us

The credo of the Floribama Riders is good wholesome clean fun, at a spirited pace. We are a non-profit organization organized in July 1995 to provide an outlet for sport-tourer enthusiasts. If you ride with your arms outstretched, if your body aches after several hours in the saddle, if you like to lean into your turns, or if you like to meet bugs up close and personal, this club is for you. We are now an established club with over 230 members, organized into four chapters:

  • Birmingham, AL (Vulcan Chapter)
  • Georgia (Matatoro Chapter)
  • Pensacola, FL (Coastal Chapter)
  • Tallahassee, FL (Fat Arse Chapter)

To subscribe to the club register online now. Once you subscribe you will be placed on our e-mail list. From the e-mail list and the this web-page you will be kept informed as to what the club is planning.

We believe in respecting bikes of any origin -- but the respect builds with age as well as speed. Our focus is squarely on having bikes of the sport or sport-tourer category, from 600cc machines for the smaller folks, to liter bikes for you long-leggers. V-twins, 4-cylinder bikes, or triples, whatever you like, we like it too! The area of our wanderings includes the panhandle from Tallahassee west to Mobile and north to the state lines of Tennessee and North Carolina and beyond! If you're looking to pop wheelies and lose layers of leather we're not the group you're looking for. If you like to go for long rides, attend rallies, go on weekend motorcycle camping trips, race schools, track days, or if you just like meeting people who love motorcycling, sign up.

We organize local and regional rides and rallies to see the sights of the Panhandle, and lower Dixie. We've got Yamahas, Hondas, Suzukis, Kawasakis, and even the occasional Buell and Ducati. We are a close-knit group that love to ride and wrench, and we talk about it all on the Internet. Our primary means for communication is e-mail. The club was started via the Internet and this medium will continue to receive our emphasis.
