To-Do List for Tour of the Tater 2010
I need to keep track of what I'll take on the Tour of the Tater 2010, a 1,600 mile dirt ride through Idaho.
Tools
- My socket wrenches
- More zipties...and bigger ones
- Tow strap
- Bring my big bunch o' bolts
- Duct tape!
- Spoke wrench
- Extra spokes
- Spare fuel tank?
Clothes
- Klim pants or Moose Sahara pants
- Balaclava for cool early mornings
- Done - Riding jersey (Klim, Moose, MSR, etc.)
- Done - Armor (Thor Impact SE or 661 Pro Pressure Suit)
- Done - Helmet: HJC or CLX-6
- Done - Off-road gloves (bring old road gloves to prevent blisters)
To Buy, Borrow or Steal
- CR10EK spark plugs
- Camelbak backpack
- Spare air filters or filter skins
- Cool vest
- Frog Toggs or top cover for rain
- Buy a pair of heavy duty tubes and slime them.
- Done - 2 oil filters
- Done - Fuel filter
- Done - Hand guards - Motorcycle Superstore or Kientech
- Done - Dust mask
To Do
- Add heavier weight oil to fork, possibly add spacer
